Go Iowa Fund Grant Program
The Iowa 80 / CAT Scale Go Iowa Fund was established by Iowa 80 Truckstop and CAT Scale Company through the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend (CFGRB). The purpose is to provide a structure for our employees and other individuals to request money to support good causes, organizations or philanthropies that they are involved in.
Who Can Benefit?
The Iowa 80 / CAT Scale Go Iowa Fund can only make grants that benefit Iowa based charities, Iowa activities or to organizations that have a presence in Iowa. Operational and personnel expenses are not eligible to be funded. Grants are awarded twice per year.
What Documents Are Required?
The original, plus 7 copies of our application and any supporting documentation, all stapled in the upper left corner, must be at the Iowa 80 Group / CAT Scale office by 4:30 p.m. on the deadline date, or the business day preceding the deadline if the deadline falls on a holiday or weekend. No late applications will be accepted.
Deadlines are: June 1, 2015 & December 1, 2015
Acceptable Supporting Documentation:
- Organization Mission Statement
- Certificate of Existence from Iowa Secretary of State
- Letter of designation as a tax exempt organization from the IRS
- Conceptual drawings / photographs of project or activity
- Detailed project budget

How Are Grants Awarded?
Applications are evaluated by the Grant Committee, who may request additional information from applicants by calling or asking a person or organization to appear in person before the committee. The maximum grant consideration is $2,000.00. The Grant Committee makes the final decision on all grants. Grant recipients will be notified by mail. A list of grant awards will also be posted on the Iowa 80 Group and CAT Scale websites.
